Here are some things you may wish to know:
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy works for a variety of problems, including Depression, Anxiety and Panic. It requires you to be active in your treatment and to do work between counselling sessions and there is a lot you can do initially by reading about CBT and attempting to put some of the techniques to work yourself.
A course of CBT is usually 8-10 sessions. You do not commit to a course of treatment but I do ask people to let me know if they are going to cancel an appointment or stop treatment.
I am an Accredited Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapist in CBT and have been since 2002.
I am also registered with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) as my core profession is Mental Health Nursing.
You can find my details on the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies) and the NMC websites.
I usually see clients at my home address but I am prepared to see you in your own home if the situation demands.
There is no disabled access at my home.
Charges for therapy are at competitive rates and are available on request.
I am prepared to negotiate lower charges if you are a full-time student, un-employed or retired.
Please use the “Contact Me” page if you would like to talk about treatment or if you would like me to recommend someone else. Please feel free to leave a message with your phone number if you want me to call you.
